Mishler, Margaret Anne, 91, of Andover, KS passed away Thurs. Dec. 1, 2016 at Victoria Falls Assisted Living in Andover. Margaret was born in her family home on July 9, 1925 in Ludell, KS. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated in May 1939. She worked on her family wheat farm until 17 years old then moved to Denver, CO at the start of WWII in 1941 and worked at Gates Rubber Co. helping in war effort. Mishler, Margaret Anne, 91, of Andover, KS passed away Thurs. Dec. 1, 2016 at Victoria Falls Assisted Living in Andover. Margaret was born in her family home on July 9, 1925 in Ludell, KS. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated in May 1939. She worked on her family wheat farm until 17 years old then moved to Denver, CO at the start of WWII in 1941 and worked at Gates Rubber Co. helping in war effort. She met and married a U.S. Air Force soldier on Aug. 12, 1945. She moved back to Ludell, KS when Glen was transferred to Tampa, FL. On May 20, 1945 a son was born. After the war they moved to New York City while Glen attended Aeronautical college. Boeing Wichita hired Glen so they moved to Wichita in 1949. On April 7, 1953 a daughter was born. In 1971 Margaret worked as a school cook and helped start the St. Francis Hospital Child Development Center. When Glen retired after 40 years at Boeing they traveled the U.S. and Europe. They celebrated 50 years of D-Day where her brother was buried and received the French Metal of Honor for him. They started Bethany Lutheran Church in SW Wichita in 1956 and was a member until her death. She is Survived by daughter Deborah Kempston and her husband Christopher of San Diego, CA and son Glen Charles Mishler and his wife Carol of Wichita, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tues. Dec. 6, 2016 from 6 to 8pm at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Funeral services will be 11am on Wed. Dec. 7, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1000 W. 26th St. S., Wichita. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials can be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church, OWN Mission in lieu of flowers.
