Nance, Carrie Mae, 96, of Wichita, KS passed away on Tues. Nov. 29, 2016 in Del City, OK. Carrie was born the daughter Robert and Grace Lamey on Aug. 8, 1920 in Wynnewood, OK. Carrie and Arras Nance were united in marriage until his passing in 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert Nero, sisters, Roberta Brooks, Johnny Mae Jackson and Edna Mae Adams. Survivors include her children, Donald Nero of Oklahoma City, Phillip Nero of Norman, OK, daughter-in-law, Naomi Nero of Del City, five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and...

Nance, Carrie Mae, 96, of Wichita, KS passed away on Tues. Nov. 29, 2016 in Del City, OK. Carrie was born the daughter Robert and Grace Lamey on Aug. 8, 1920 in Wynnewood, OK. Carrie and Arras Nance were united in marriage until his passing in 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert Nero, sisters, Roberta Brooks, Johnny Mae Jackson and Edna Mae Adams. Survivors include her children, Donald Nero of Oklahoma City, Phillip Nero of Norman, OK, daughter-in-law, Naomi Nero of Del City, five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Carrie was a long time member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess and a Mother of the Church. Carrie loved Christian fellowship and the Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, working in the home, playing card games and working puzzles. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends. Visitation will be Sat. Dec. 10, 2016 from 12:30pm to 1:00pm for family and from 1:00PM to 2:00pm for all with funeral services to follow at 2pm on Sat. Dec. 10, 2016 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials can be made to the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
